12 Months of Muffins

Two years ago, I began a baking project.  I wanted to come up with two muffin recipes for each month using seasonal ingredients and monthly themes.  For example, Valentine's Day is in February, so I created a muffin with chocolate and one that looks pretty to serve for a loved one. 

Each month, I will post the two new muffin recipes.  Bake a batch for breakfast, a snack, for lunches, breakfast for dinner, or whenever you wish!

Before you get started here are a few tips:
* Follow recipe exactly! 
* Any of these muffins can be regular sized or mini.  Generally, for the regular size bake 18-20 minutes and for minis bake 10-12 minutes.  Test doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center.  If it comes out clean they are done!
* Most muffins can be stored in an airtight container after coming to room temperature.  However, muffins with yogurt, fresh fruit, and/or sour cream are best stored in the refrigerator.
